The main purpose of the company is to collect, maintain and review the credit information of an individual.TransUnion company collects and record data submitted by bank or lender on monthly basis. A good CIBIL report is necessary for the approval of loans from the bank. CIBIL grants the clients with

·       Credit Score: It is a three-digit number that summarizes the Client's credit history. The applicant with a good credit score has the chance for loan approval. The first thing that the lender observes in any applicant’s form is CIBIL Score. This score ranges between 300 to 900.

If the score is high, the lender will reconsider the application and there are more chances for the loan to be approved. A good CIBIL Score is maintained by ensuring payment of dues on time, by keeping balance low, by avoiding unnecessary loans, and by maintaining a balance between secured and unsecured loans. Good credit history is necessary for a good credit score. The applicant must monitor his CIBIL Score regularly to avoid any misconceptions.

·       Credit Report: It plays an important role in the approval of the loan from the lender. It is the record of the borrower’s credit history, past debts, and payment history from several resources including banks, credit cards, companies, etc. The report shows the creditworthiness of the borrower. It is a factor that helps the lender to decide whether the borrower is credit-worthy to pay back the money he lends.

Lenders use both credit scores and credit reports to ensure the approval of the loan.
